<p align="left"><b><font color="#FFFF00">Von Juni 1994 bis Ende August 1995
hielt ich mich in Montpellier auf. Dies sowohl, um mich von der
"anstrengenden" Zeit am Golan (siehe Bildergalerien Syrien/Jordanien
und Israel/Libanon) zu erholen, als auch, um meine bis dahin eher stockenden
Französischkenntnisse aufzumöbeln. Zwei Monate Sprachkurs und dann ein Jahr
Urlaub taten im warmen Süden ganz gut und außerdem ist dieses Städtchen so
günstig gelegen, daß man die Camargue, Avignon, Nîmes, Carcassonne und
ähnliche Sehenswürdigkeiten im Rahmen von Tagesausflügen besuchen kann und
Barcelona ist nur drei Autostunden entfernt. Ich
habe dort jede Menge Leute kennengelernt, meist Studenten aus anderen
europäischen Ländern, die hier wohl aus ähnlichen Gründen ebenfalls ein
Semester oder mehr verbrachten, und so konnte ich über Langeweile nicht klagen!
Ausflüge, Lokale, Strand... ich vermisse diese Zeit sehr, und mein Französisch
hat seither aufgrund heftigen Nichtgebrauchs auch recht gelitten!

<p align="left"><b><font color="#00FF00"><a name="En">Between</a> June, 1994 and August, 1995, I
spent my time in Montpellier in order to relax from my "exhausting"
time on the Golan Heights (see gallery Syrien/Jordanien and Israel/Libanon) as
well as to polish up my French, which at that time was not too good. Two months
of summer stage and then one year of holidays were quite good down in the sunny
south, and Montpellier is excellently located for trips to Avignon, Nîmes, the
Camargue, Carcassonne and other points of interest. Even Barcelona is only a
three hours drive away. I met there lots of nice
people, mostly students of other European countries, who also came there out of
the same reasons I did. So boredom was banned completely: Trips, bars, beach...
I miss this time very much, and my French deteriorated since, because I did not
practice much!

<p align="left"><b><font color="#00FFFF"><a name="Fr">Entre </a>juin 1994 et
août 1995 j'ai vecu à Montpellier pour me reposer de mon "dur"
service au Golan (voir galérie Syrien/Jordanien et Israel/Libanon) et aussi
pour améliorer mon français, qui n'ètait pas terrible à ce temps. Deux mois
de stage linguistique et après une année de vacances m'ont fait du bien là
bas au Midi ensoleillé. La location de Montpellier est parfaite pour des
excursions vers Avignon, Nîmes, la Camargue, Carcassonne et des autres
locations interessantes. Même Barcelone est à uns distance de trois heures par
voiture. A Montpellier j'ai rencontré des tas des jolis gens, la plûpart des
étudiant(e)s étrangèr(e)s, qui étaient venu(e)s par la même raison que moi.
Alors on s'est bien amusés: La plage, des excursions, les bars...
Ce temps me manque beaucoup, et mon français a aussi déterioré depuis,
parce-que je n'ai pas beaucoup pratiqué dès ce temps (comme vous pouvez voir
en lisant mes textes en français...)!
